Phase I of circled.club is complete.
Over the past months, we focused on establishing the foundational conditions of the circled ecosystem:
Core structure, Spaces and Circles, governance principles, and the technical base that enables long-term collaboration.
With these conditions in place, circled.club now enters Phase II.
What Phase II is about
Phase II is not about speed in expansion.
It is about stewardship, clarity, and sustainability.
This phase marks the transition from building the platform to carrying the ecosystem forward.
Phase II focuses on three areas
Content & structural refinement
Further shaping Spaces, Domain Communities, and Local Communities so participation becomes clearer, more intentional, and sustainable over time.
People & stewardship
Engaging contributors, experts, volunteers, and early supporters who want to help steward domains, moderation, and long-term direction.
Sustainability & infrastructure
Ensuring the platform can be maintained responsibly — technically, organisationally, and financially — without reliance on extraction or advertising.
What this means for participation
From now on, circled.club continues to grow by invitation and nomination, not by open sign-ups.
This allows the ecosystem to:
- Protect its integrity
- Support contributors responsibly
- Build trust before scale
Public spaces remain visible.
Conversation, collaboration, and project work continue where they belong — inside Circles, Spaces, and Projects.
More detailed context on engagement and contribution across the circled ecosystem will be shared through upcoming posts in this channel.
What comes next
In the coming weeks, we will:
- Refine key Spaces and Domain Communities
- Open clearer paths for contribution
- Publish context where it adds understanding — not noise
Phase II is about stewardship.
Phase I of circled.club is now complete.
This first phase focused on building the structural and conceptual foundation of the circled ecosystem — not growth, not reach, and not scale.
What Phase I established
During Phase I, we focused on:
- Defining the core structure of Spaces, Circles, and Projects
- Establishing the distinction between social interaction and collaboration
- Creating Domain Communities and Local Communities as contextual layers
- Setting clear roles for organisations, initiatives, and stewardship
- Preparing the technical and governance groundwork for long-term continuity
Phase I was about getting the architecture right before inviting momentum.
Where Phase I lives
The work and outcomes of Phase I are documented and archived in Circled Impact, where completed and foundational initiatives are made visible for reference and accountability.
This allows future phases to build on clarity — not assumptions.
What comes next
Phase II is now active and will focus on:
- Content and structure development across Domains and Local Communities
- Expert, contributor, and volunteer engagement
- Capital, resource, and infrastructure sustainability
- Ongoing maintenance, refinement, and team expansion
Phase II activity and updates will primarily take place within the community.
Thank you to everyone who observed, tested, reflected, and supported this first phase — quietly, thoughtfully, and with care.
The next stage builds on that foundation.
